Nombre científico: Ceiba Pentandra Gaertin.
La Ceiba simboliza vida, perpetuidad, grandeza, bondad, belleza, fuerza y unión
Familia: bombacáceas, La ceiba es un árbol gigante, de raíces muy extendidas
Fruto:algodón silvestre "kapoc", la madera del Kapoc es utilizada en los chalecos salvavidas. Su semilla es empleada para la producir aceite de comer y de jabones.
En tiempos precolombinos los nativos celebraban sus ritos bajo su follaje, considerándolo árbol sagrado.
