Photographer’s Note

This is a another photo of Puerto Peñasco's sunset.

Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, also known as Rocky Point, is a former fishing village and located along the northeastern shore of the Sea of Cortez or the Gulf of California. The city of Puerto Peñasco has some of the very best beaches and the water is warm and clear.

The average temperature is in the 50-100 degree (F) range, depending on the season. The city is also subject o seasonal storms. We were there in August (low-tourist season) when it's extremely hot and humid. The water temperature in the sea is above 90 degree (F).

It was our last evening in Puerto Peñasco. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. I hope I captured the surreal and eerie feelings I felt while walking around.

Hello Nap!
I like photos with burning skies! I like allso the natural dark colours of the beach. Sometimes people tend to manipulate their shots that much, that the natural ambience get lost.

What a dramatic sky in the foreground which contrasts well with the brilliantla lit cloud in the background. The reflection definitely adds a focal point and depth.

Well seen sunset. I can feel the warmth. The muted colors are perfect. I love the huge expanse created by the silky clouds. You have an excellent POV here with the strip of water cutting through the right of the photo adding a nice contrast to the silhouette.
