View of the Pyramid of the Moon from the top of the Pyramid of the Sun.

From the Met Museum web site:
The Pyramid of the Moon, at the northern end of the Street of the Dead, was probably completed around 250 A.D. Recent excavations near the base of the pyramid staircase have uncovered the tomb of a male skeleton with numerous grave goods of obsidian and greenstone, as well as sacrificial animals. One of the most significant tombs yet discovered at Teotihuacan, it might indicate that even more important tombs lie buried at the heart of the pyramid.

For those of you interested in comparing the Mexican pyramids with the Egyptians, here you can find some interesting facts.

Hope you enjoy it,

Hi Enrique, good view of that gigantic plateau.
the distant view is excellent ot understand how is large the area.
good focus and great PVO.
thanks, ciao

Hola Enrique.

Hi Enrique,

It is very hard to photograph mexican pyramides as they are so huge! In Teotihuacan you could climb on another pyramide to shoot this one from a good spot. The result is a great Point of view, and a pic' framed geniously. The colors and tones really remind me of the harsh sun and heat of Mexico.
TFS !

Cheers,
Pris.

Beautiful landscape and interesting notes, good composition and as usual good frame, I like also it, compliments.
Ciao
Vinicio

Hi Enrique

Hola Enrique,

Saludos
Daniel

ok ... i don't like this shot very much. the sky is decent, but i think wide landscapes like this are really hard to do because of the number of elements needed to manage in the shot.

unfortunately i don't like the foreground jutting into the shot and my eye is left to wander aimlessly around the photo. there's nothing to draw my attention.

the high perspective also makes the pyramid seem really small and insignificant. not a good pov to show the wonderousness of the pyramids.

sorry mate, just not a well crafted photo compared to your usual high standards!

Hola Enrique,

Saludos, Yvonne

I like this shot best out of your Pyramid of the Moon photographs, Enrique, as we can see so much of the setting that it is in. Good exposure and reasonable sharpness in what looked like quite harsh lighting conditions. Cheers . . . David

Hola Enrique,
Well I think this one is my favorite in the series for its diagonal perspective and the good contrasts you were able to pull out here.
Have a nice week end,
Jean-Yves
