Photographer’s Note

He is one of the cliff divers of Mazatlan. Intrepid people who put their lives in danger for a few US dollars. An improper push of their legs when they jump or a strong gust of wind can end their life or maim them for life. I do not think they do it for the meager some of money they get but for the feeling of machismo. This picture was taken at about 10:00 AM at Avenida del Puerto by the Pacific Ocean. There is no admission fee. Just give whatever dollar you are willing to give after the dive.

Very nice picture ! This dangerous attitude is incredible...
It reminds me the famous picture "Le saut dans le vide" by Yves Klein...(French artist famous for it's blue monochromes).

Wow, great moment captured in this one, Andre. The framing of the scene would already be nice with the seaside view of walls and rocks, but the diver seen in mid-air definitely gives a kick to the photo. Looks quite spectacular.

What a dramatic shot, the scenery itself is great to look at, but to add someone jumping in from such a height is brilliant. Just a shame about the tourists on the right.

This is a superb shot. The people on the lower level appear oblivious to the diver. He looks like superman coming in to land. The composition and colours of the shot are also good. TFS.
