Photographer’s Note
Another one from this waterfalls, this time from the bottom part. I like the way the water spread all over the rock wall.
The view from here is very nice with frequent rainbows as the light and wind changes. It was a very hot day and I thought of taking a bath in this lagoon formed, but I found out that the water was freezing and got my hands and feet frozen.

Basaseachic falls are located in Sierra Madre, north of Mexico. Sierra Madre is known for its canyons and gorges which are both plenty and dramatic.
Unfortunately, it is very underdeveloped in terms of trekking facilities, and the only way to explore it on foot is doing everything by yourself, which is not practical if you travel with a limited amount of time.
The landscape is stunning and it was very frustrating to be limited to a rented car and driver to take us sightseeing. We eventually found a place where they rented just a car and head out to the basaseachi falls park, a place that is very hard to reach by public transportation.
The place is incredible, the landscape is dramatic and, best of all, it’s deserted. The falls are tucked into a corner of canyon Candameña, a very deep and very narrow gorge. The height of the falls (311m, the largest waterfall of Mexico in rainy season) and its setting makes them just stunning. We spent the whole day hiking on narrow winding paths along the walls of the canyon, scaring off lizards and squirrels, looking at the humming birds and going down to the bottom of the ravine, from where this photo was taken.

Ola Ricardo
I like the windblown look of the spray. Perhaps a time exposure of 4-6 seconds to accentuate the blur & softness of the falling water even more? Good work. Parabens & obrigado!

Ola Ricardo,
seems to me you choose a longer exposure time. What apperture you had?
I like those 'veils' hanging down the rock; well composed!

Best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Ricardo,
An unusual and very successful close-up of these falls. You have captured the dynamism of the water while at the same time also portraying the fine details of the cliff rocks and the gleam created by the foaming water. A very successful shot.

Hello Ricardo, this is a dramatic picture of these falls. I like the composition showing the curve of the rock face encircling the pool at the bottom. The damp mist makes me feel like I'm going to get wet.

Hi Ricardo, Amazing mist at the feet of that fall. I can imagine the rainbows indeed. It looks like a thin water curtain covering the rocks.

Fernando

Exelent picture of my Mexico I like this cascade, I would like to be there but this too looks cold.
However is good, I like the closeup you made to this part is so good, I would like to crop in the sides to focus more in the water and leave the rock walls out to this picture, but this is a grate pictue I like the colors, the brigth the saturation and the sharp.
Felicidades amigo
