Acrópolis Comalcalco. Templo I. Zona Arqueológica de Comalcalco. Elaborated constructions of bricks of cooked mud.

Comalcalco: it comes from the words náhuatl “Comali-Calli-Co” that it means “House of the griddles” (bricks)

Comalcalco is a built prehispanic establishment and inhabited by the Mayan chontales; with acme during the late phase of the period Clásico(200-850) and toward the beginnings of the Posclásico (850-1521); however, in the region establishments have been detected, of earlier date.

* Archaeological area of Comalcalco * (Ruinas de Comalcalco):

This important archaeological area is the most western city in the Mayan area and that it flourished in the same time that the cities of Fence, Chiapas (with the one that had important nexuses), Yaxchilán, Chiapas, Black Stones, Guatemala, etc, These cities had as antecedent common to the Olmecan culture that belongs to the horizon préclasico (of the year 1300 a.c. to the 100 d.c.), and they are very similar as for the final appearance of their buildings; appearance that corresponded to the cultural horizon that the archaeologists denominate classic, which embraces of the century III to the IX d.c. Those Mayan-Chontales of Comalcalco they began to build their buildings with bricks in the century VII d.c. These had contact with the towns of Xochicalco, Live them, Uxmal, Yucatan, Tikal, Guatemala, etc., and after the century IX d.c. with the toltecas, the náhuas or Mexicans, the Totonac ones, etc.

One of the most important characteristics in the prehispanic city of Comalcalco, Tabasco located in the most western part in the Mayan area, from ends of the classic horizon (700 d.c.) and during the Posclásico, it was the use of bricks for the construction of magnificent buildings, although it was as all the prehispanic cities of Mesoamérica a great town ceramist.

In the entrance of the archaeological area there is an interesting collection in the Museum of Place of Comalcalco.

Bonjour Ninfa,
simple et bien réussi sur le plan technique où 3 couleurs se taillent des parts équitables de la photo.
Cette vu en oblique permet d'admirer deux faces du monument.
Bien vu.
Daniel.

Ninfa, excelente arquitectura capturaste. Buen tema y buen punto de vista. La sombra del lado izquierdo no se ve mal. Felicidades...
