Photographer’s Note

Around the corner from the resort beach I found this quiet little cove. You could only get to it at low tide without getting wet, and it felt very secluded. I only saw one other person there all the times I visited it. It also made me feel a bit nervous being there all by myself so far from home, but it was really beautiful, peaceful and calm, although HOT HOT HOT!!

The vegetation wasn't the lush rainforest like plants all around the resort, so obviously the resort waters their plants very often. This was more of a desert like atmosphere with ocean at the edge. Night and Day different so a nice change, made me feel like this was the "real" Mexico, not the touristy version.

Photo: I had to darken this a bit as it was BRIGHT afternoon sun and the sand was a bit "Neonish" so Played with the levels a bit, increased the saturation just a little since it all seemed a bit washed out, then resized and sharpened. I thought about rotating the horizon, but the curve that you see was how I saw it too, I decided the rocks across the center were level so that's what I went with.
