[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken while swiming in an underground river in the ecological park of Xcaret. In Quintana Roo state, Mexico.
This river is filled with salt water, from an opening of a series of caverns to the sea.
The light comes from an opening in the top of the cavern. There is no modification to the actual emerald colors that you can appreciatte down there, with the exception of some noise reduction.

Wauw. I was diving in the cenotes in the Yucotan back in 96. You are quite right that it is a magical experience and your photo conveys the otherworldly environment quite well. Obviously it is not the sharpest pic the world has seen, but to me the blur adds some action to it all. I like that you have included the surface in the compo as it provides a bit of perspective. But of course, that great emerald colours is the star of the shot. Too me it brings back some pretty strong memories so thanks for posting it!

Best,
Miks

Very nice capture in light under water...amazing shot

Eventhough it's not really a sharp shot...but still consider an interesting shot...You have a good idea and deserve the point.

Wonderful image. The color of the underwater world is amazing. I like the fact that the image is not razor sharp. The roundness gives the image a mood which I think is appropriate and contributes. How did you take this picture underwater? Do you have a special waterproof case for your camera?

This reminds me on a space photos. Very good light. I didn't espected to see a photo like this here. Good job.

Hello, I like the supernatural atmosphere which emerges from this photograph... With forthcoming once... Raphsax

I like this rare good idea of sub-marine shot. We would feel like seeing the Abyss movie :)

Incredible colors, you've done a good job with the light. I also like your title and note, it really seems to be the marcians arriving. The ground would be the Earth.

I don't know how you did this but the effects are great nice and original work!

Hi Jorge, that's kind of amazing picture, it looks that the diver will be teleported to the Enterprise ship...
Cheers
Yan
