Photographer’s Note

It was a strange moment of a wonderful travel. We found this group of women in our way. They belongs to the Zapatista mouvement that shaked the world the first january 1994. We had the chance to speak with them. That was an interesting day.

Fue un momento extraño en un viaje maravilloso. Encontramos en nuestro camino a este grupo de mujeres. Pertenecían al movimiento zapatista que sorprendió al mundo el primero de enero de 1994. Tuvimos la oportunidad de charlar con ellas. Fue un día interesante.

Dear Miguel,
I have watched a program a few years ago about zapatistas.I am very glad to see a photo about them.A great TE photo i think.A great contrast between the covered faces and very coloured,full of joy clothes.I remember sub-commandent Marcos with his guitar on his horse.He was very carismatic by the style.

Maybe Adam will create a site called, TrekNews, focused on decisive political and worldly events. This would be a candidtate for that site. Great notes.

Bueno Miguel me gusta mucho esta foto, las caras muestran seguridad, y aunque está un poco obscura ciertamente una oportunidad como la tuya de tomar fotos de éste tipo, pues son pocos los que la tienen.
Me llama la atencion que tan solo son mujeres, y los hombres están atrás, me da incluso a pensar en alguna analogia como la revolucion del "sexo debil".
