From the boat, I tried with my small lens (3x) to shot some birds...

The magnificent frigatebird (Fregata magnificens) is a large marine bird exhibiting reversed sexual size dimorphism (adult females are bigger than males). This bird nests densely in several islands off the pacific Mexican coast (Isla Sta. margaritas, Isla Isabel, Islas Revillagigedo and others) and in the Mexican Caribbean (Isla Contoy). They built their nests at the top of trees or shrubs. The flying prowess of the magnificent frigatebird allows foraging trips up to 150 km during the chick rearing period, and when they disperse from their breeding colonies they can travel more than 2000 Km in just a few days. They can be phylopatric, re-nesting in the same place in following years.

Ton appareil est suffisament léger pour éviter le bougé, ce qui t'a permis d'immobiliser facilement le vol de l'oiseau; mais il me semble voir des cormorans perchés sur l'arbre.

Je connaissais la "frégate" la voiture (Renault) ; mais je connaissais beaucoup moins les moeurs des frégates (oiseaux).
Le dimorphisme sexuel me surprend ! ;-))
De grandes voyageuses ces frégates superbes !
La prise de vue est très satisfaisante pour un zoom x 3.
Bon cadrage général avec beaucoup de détails.
C'est quand même "chouette" TE, on apprend beaucoup sur tout !

Actually, this came out quite well with the "hardware" you have available, Fred. The elegant in-flight posing is well conveyed, and the fact that the bird has some compositional space left to go into is a bonus, as is the detailed maze of birds in the trees below.

moi la Frégate s'est un beau voilier...je ne savais pas que c'etait le nom d'un oiseau...encore une fois j'ai appris quelques chose ce soir grace à toi...mon ami...beau spécimen, bien élancé, survolant tel un aigle...est-ce son nid qui survole ??? bien vu et pas de flou...tout bon ...amitiés BI

A true "glider plane" that fregata bird - for some reason did with to see a red chest on such a bird - but that perhaps only in the matting season - thanks Fred and congratulation with your catch.

Really great quality to this photo. That the tree and birds below the frigatebird are sharp as well is really an accomplishment. The only picture I've taken that is at all similar to this, I had to pan with the camera to get the bird in flight to be in focus, in so doing it put the rest of the scene into a fuzzy blur. Very nicely done.

Een vliegende vogel en veel zittende, maak toch een goed beeld van wat ginder gebeurt Fred, het is niet makkelijk om bewegende beelden nog zo scherp te krijgen zoals deze foto, van een vliegende vogel, en ook nog de hemel netjes erbij. Mooi beeld hier Fred!

Hermosa composicion Fred con el ave en vuelo y muchas más anidando sobre los árboles.
Colores suaves, buena eleccion de los valores de exposicion y atinado encuadre, conforman una bonita escena.
