El Castillo, is am impressive pyramid which dominates the site of Chichen Itza: Built by the Toltecs in the late 10th century, the site attracts a very large number of tourists.
Here I wanted to enhance many things. The clouds of course, but I chose a moment when the light was on the pyramid mainly , and the shade on the pillar for depth.

Quel ciel !!
Vraiment bien réussi. Beaucoup de lumière aussi et excellente idée de prendre cette pyramide entre les colonnes de pierre.
Cadrage vertical bien choisi aussi.

hi izzet, this is a tremendous composition - with the strong foreground and enlightened pyramid in the background supplemented with contrasting sky;
very good shot!

Hi Izzet, this one is very, very well composed with the details in the foreground and the view on the pyramid and indeed, a good lightning ! And no tourists, how nice to see this.....

Too good to believe. This is a hard-to-photograph, people keep telling me. That's why I didn't have the courage to come yet.

Excellent use of light. The pyramid looks very nice under that light. The sky is gorgeous and the POV has been very well chosen.

spectacular view of the pyramid, but I should mention that Chichen Itza was built by the Mayans not the Toltecs

Very elegant framing of the site - Looks like you shot the photo from the Temple of 1000 Columns. I wish I knew when I was there that it's possible to climb up there, because that's quite a nice view.

Compositionally, the photo is superb. It's hard to come up with an original or eye-catching shot of El Castillo, but you've done it here. There are two things relating to light and composition that I particularly like here. One is the obvious choice to shoot it when the light was only on El Castillo--great call. The other is the way you've utilized the statues here. The snake head (or whatever it is) in the foreground appears to be looking toward the pyramid, but it's your use of the Chaac Mool statue, looking out across the plane to the Pyramid of Kukulcan as it seems, that really helps make the shot. It subconsciously draws the eye toward El Castillo, in addition to the other draws from the light and the placement in the frame. Excellent, excellent work.
You can't get this shot anymore--they don't allow people to climb these structures these days. A shame, but the right call--a million tourists a year would wear them down in a hurry.
