Photographer's Note

It is a stroll of 375 to 400 metres south from the Palace along the sacbé to reach the Watchtower. This is the view from the north side. Originally it was a small temple with five rooms and a high roofcomb in the Chenes architectural style, with decorative elements that reflected the tastes of the local hill people. It was an example of early Puuc that would mature over the decades in this area. The pyramidal base has not been restored.
