Photographer's Note

This is a portion of the surviving facade of the Structure CA7 - Ch'ich Palace - in the Southeast Plaza. It signals the arrival of the Puuc era at Oxkintok dating from the Late Classic, i.e. 750 - 1050 CE. The execution is clearly well done and incorporates very simple abstract designs that furnish interest in the overall structure, and identify it in a distinctive manner.
