Photographer's Note

This is the western portion of Structure CA6 at Oxkintok, located, along with CA5, in the southwest corner of the Ah Canul Group. They are both oriented in a general west to east direction. CA6 is also known as the Temple of the Initial Series as glyphs were found on the lintels of entrances 7 and 10. The glyphs on entrance 7, particularly, indicate a date of 487 CE. The architecture is indicative of the proto-Puuc period, i.e. 500 to 600 CE.
