Photographer's Note

This is the warm heart of Mérida and the centre for people-watching. It is at the conjunction of calles 60, 61, 62, and 63. Here is the venue for political, ecclesiastical and social events. To the east can be seen the spires of the cathedral. Among the vegetation can be seen laurel trees. Young couples become better acquainted as they sit in the unique "S" shaped chairs (confidenciales).
