Photographer's Note

The major residence in this location, just south of sacbé 1, underwent several construction phases. These entailed the addition of rooms around the outside of the initial stepped platform or terraces. The steps seen face to the west and this view is from the southwest. Much of family life would have occurred outside on the terrace. There was no indication in the form of vaulting stones that the walls and roof had been other than the conventional poles and thatch. Exploration revealed four cists placed beneath the floor area, two of which contained earthenware vases.
