Photographer's Note

This sculpture of chiselled limestone was found in the remains of the South Temple of the Ball Court at Chichén Itzá. It's creation is assigned to the Early Post-Classic Period, and, owing to the heavy rounded forms, deemed a female figure. It was photographed in the gardens of the Muséo del Sitio, at Dzibilchaltun.
