[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the temples at the Mayan ruins near Tulum, Mexico. The setting for these ruins is as magnificent as the ruins themselves: cliffs overlooking the Carribean sea. The hardest thing about photographing these ruins is avoiding tourists in the shot as they are everywhere. Despite my best efforts I still have a few in there. I felt cropping them out would cramp the composition of the temple too much so I decided to leave them. Anyway, I'm happy with the results over all.

Impressive results at that! Beautiful photo and very atmospheric. Even though you didn't get the coast in there the dramatic sky more than makes up for it. It looks very "heavy" and somewhat oppressive, but I also like the contrast of the grass in the foreground to give it just a bit of color. And you're right; the tourists are barely noticeable and don't really detract from the shot at all. Good job!

Nice composition, good exposure for color in the temple. You may be interested in getting Adobe photoshop if you wish to eliminate objects in a picture. There is a cloning tool that allows you to replicate the pixels from one area and move them to another. If your still in the area check out Ek Balam. Cheers

Hello Richie,
Im always fascinated by the Mayan ruins. Here you show one of them. It is very exciting and very educational. Your deliverence of the subject is very interesting- the solemn environment connects the idea of ruins, dark and autumn type of sky, the image is clear with details and allow eyes to venture the ruins very well.
Good point of view and subject positioning.

Thanks for sharing, and cheers with that big mug of yours.

Regards,
Foozi
