This is a re-post. I simply cropped out the top and bottom a bit, to give it a more elongated look. I think it works better this way. Comments and critiques appreciated!

This was taken at Tulum (Mayan Ruins on the coast of Mexico). The ruins are not known to be grandiose, but the location is spectacular!

When I saw a similar image on the cover of my Lonely Planet Yucatan travel guide, I determined that I must go and see this place (and hopefully get a beautiful image myself!). We left early in the morning and got there when they opened to avoid the large tours. In fact, we passed a number of tour groups as we happily left.

This was truly a beautiful and special place.
