In this photograph, the structure is viewed from its southeast corner. The substructure consists of a narrow room with the usual Maya corbelled vault. It was probably covered originally in stucco and painted - red, blue, yellow, green. Window openings are visible. Not open to the public, there is an entrance blocked off just to the left of the staircase to the north. The plaza and this temple date from the late post-classic, i.e. 1200 - 1550 CE: the site is the religious centre for the village with the remains of various platforms, altars, etc.
