Group D consists of numerous structures bordered by sacbeoob 4 and 8, and to the north by the Nohoch Mul group. Only a few structures here have been explored and may be visited: the Paintings Group consisting of five structures and 13 altars; Ball Court #2; and the Xaibé.
Some 500 metres from the Coba Group and following the present-day paths east by south, the visitor reaches Structure 4. It is at the centre of the Paintings Group and consists of a low platform. On one of its sides, Stela 26 was installed, probably in the post-classic era. In front, there is a circular stone - part of a column - used as an altar. Apparently it belonged to the columns of Structure 3 of the same series, as the dimensions match. To my eye, little of the images on the stela can be made out in any detail.
