If my memory serves me right, this is my first picture that I have taken with the (then) brand new Elan IIe. You can see the bad newbie usage of the cheap polarizer here.
I will probably get slammed for this but I hope some of you do see my slow progress from the beginning. Or maybe I will get slammed because I haven't progressed that much or worse regressed from such promissing start. :)

First you gave us the ultimate travel destination and now the ultimate tanning salon. I like this, because of a few things: the color of the water near the horizon is beautiful. Second, the white sand is white and not overexposed. Third: the people at different angles with their faces up into the sky. And finally the beautiful water...jeez I love this one, Thien. Don't be so hard on yourself, this is excellent. Good work!

I love the composition and the different tones of blue...I agree with Fil to not be so hard on yourself:-)

I think the sand is blown out a touch, it loses detail, but the composition is very satisfying. It is a nice relaxing scene, and the color of the water and sky are just right. I can almost feel the sand between my toes.

The sand is a little overexposed and the water near the horizon looks darker to me than it should have in real life. But the picture still conveys a wonderful feeling of tropical waters and relaxing sunny days. I also like the clouds which look almost as if they were painted.

title needs work.
colors very unnatural (as you know).
seems to lack focus.
However, I like the mood and the composition. I think with focus it would be a very good stock shot.

Nice photo. With the faces all upward i was wondering what would happen if you crop away the white sand. Lovely colors.
