A POV from the top of Agua Azul waterfalls....an interesting contrast with the previous image

The Cataratas de Agua Azul (Spanish for "Blue-water Falls") are found in the Mexican state of Chiapas. They are located 69 kilometers from Palenque by the road that leads towards San Cristóbal de las Casas.

This waterfall consists of many cataracts following one after another. The larger cataracts may be as high as 6 meters (20 feet) or so.
The water is as blue as it looks in the picture and has a high mineral content. Where it falls on rocks or fallen trees it encases them in a thick shell-like coating of limestone.

Bella foto di queste cascate molto famose.
Ottimo il POV e belli anche i colori e ottima definizione.
Quando tantissimi anni fa pianificai un viaggio poi mai fatto dalla Baja California sino giù in Chipas passando per la Barranca del Cobre, misi tra le mete imperdibili anche l'Agua Azul, ma rimasi molto scoraggiato dal fatto che d'estate l'acqua è color...diciamo melma...mi devo così accontentare di foto e di documentari!

Bella perchè due volte inusuale: uno perchè blocca il movimento (e basta con queste lunghe esposizioni), due perchè riprende da monte. Il sole alle spalle illumina magnificamente l'immagine.

complimenti per la magnifica vista che ci propono, attraverso le tue foto riesco a vedere dei posti bellissimi e non i soliti dei turisti.
ottma questa cascata ripresa in maniera diversa, vedi che se c'e' il manico anche le compatte rendono.

This is the colour that I wanted to see there,this turquoise blue..,maybe next time.Beautiful Chiapas!(as Xuaxo wrote),but...I can do,I can hear the sound of the water :)

Hi Silvio, Agua Azul, fantastic place and on this shot the colour of water is fantastic, like in reality. Wonderful photo. I think I have picniked where the little flags are. I liked it ...
