Photographer’s Note

Just walking around the wonderfull city of Campeche, as nice as any colonial town in Mexico but with few turists and seafood to die for.
The wall surrounds the central part of the city and was erected to protect the place against pirates in the XVII-XVIII centures, unlike Veracruz and other port cities of Mexico the walls here survive and the forts have been turned into museums, gardens ect.
One can spend a good couple of days walking around the central area of the city, day and night, quiet and peacefull, this city is a real jewel of colonial Mexico.
