Photographer's Note

House 6 on Calle 57 was built, at the southern end of the main plaza, in the baroque style, and dating from the 18th century. The central patio was constructed over a cistern that collected rainwater falling on the roof. To supply residents with water, a well was put in place, as shown. The casa affords visitors a glimpse of the lifestyle of the Úlite in Campeche from that era.
