Photographer's Note

The Institute of Culture occupies the monastery portion of the Church of San Roque that dates from the 17th century. Entrance is through a large portal on Calle 12 at Calle 59, into a small foyer, and then into a courtyard. From this viewpoint, the bell tower of the church next door reminds the visitor of the original religious function of the complex. Here, a number of sculptures were on display that were of considerable interest, including one by Jorge Marín.
