The fourth of the sculptures by Jorge Marín, b 1963, on display in Calle 59 is located just before the intersection with Calle 12. Angel wings have returned, a mask shades the nose and eyes (protection from UV?), and there is an old-fashioned aviator's helmet on the subject's head. The work dates from 2008.
In the background, centre right, is the Templo de San Francisquito, aka San Roque, along with a monastery, out of the photograph to the right, dating from the 17th Century. The monastery now functions as a facility for the Institute of Culture - and this was my next destination.
