Photographer’s Note
the leaves of the chinese kale plant repel water to such an extent that you can submerge it in water and when you take it out it's perfectly dry. this impermeable leaf floating on the water holds two beautiful droplets. note the surface tension of the water attempting to cover the leaf in the top left-hand corner. however, wherever you touch the leaf with your fingers this property is lost and the water can now penetrate it. i just like the colors and forms in this picture. thanks for looking

Interesting note and nice amplifying image to go along with it, Dave. It never fails that I learn something everyday on TE. The leaf is well captured with near perfect exposure. The colors and form are indeed very nice! The water droplets are almost iridescent.
Have a great Sunday!

Hi Dave
Great title that makes me laugh. Good clarity throughout. I like the droplets of water here. Good informative write up. The colours are natural and lovely to look at.
