Photographer’s Note
This beautiful white fig tree (higuera blanca)is so twisted, wracked and gnarled that it has obviously struggled during many years of monsoon rains and scorching dry seasons. It's obviously weathered more than one hurricane and lost a couple of limbs yet it survives to provide a shady resting spot for a weary hiker and a nesting place for birds and iguanas.
Not a great photo it was a little overexposed so i had to apply some blending changes (overlay and multiply) and i also added a slight grainy texture in an attempt to give the picture more visual interest. i hope to take more pictures of the amazing trees which can be seen here in mexico.

Emilius

Hi Dave,
Yes, it is a very beautiful tree and really like your composition and POV. However, like you say the lighting conditions were not the best. Personally, I would try return to take a better "portrait" of this wonderful old in better lighting. TFS and have a nice weekend!
Cheers,
Ulf
