Muelle de San Blas. Port of San Blas, Nayarit.

In the XVI century, the settler Nuño Beltrán of Guzmán and their columnists speak of this place as of a prodigal place in natural wealth, and they mention that the native ones shine showy jewels and elegant dresses.

San Blas' port was founded officially in the XVIII century and very soon to acquire a great commercial and military importance. From their navy brother Junípero Serra left later after the evangelism of the High California, and years the port it was scenario of the glorious combats that gift José Bought María liberated against the foreign invaders.

Today in day San Blas is a pleasant tourist destination in which can be practiced diverse aquatic sports, as the fishing and the surfing, and to enjoy so much of his beautiful beaches as of an excellent gastronomy; other activities that nobody should get lost in San Blas and their surroundings are the observation of birds and of crocodiles (in the cocodrilario of The Tobara).

On the name written in the ship: King Nayar. It is of great meaning for the inhabitants of the state of Nayarit, because this state, names to its entity because the King NAYAR (Commander of the tribe of the CORAS), it was one of the big warriors that defends to its town against the Spanish yoke toward the years 1500, for that that NAYARIT, means "Son of God that is in the sky and the sun."

NAYARIT, is located the West of MEXICO, and it is adjacent with the states of Jalisco, Zacatecas, Durango and Sinaloa.
