Old wooden door
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Wooden door witnesses time, people passing, stopping
Many years it stands above cobblestone street
New doors replace old wooden standards
Except this one, defiant, proud, and closed.
(I shot this in my parents' hometown in Mexico. I was drawn to it, noticing that even in such a small town as ours, this was one of the last old-fashioned solid wood doors left.) |

Lots of character and perhaps even history on this door. I like the black and white rendition to create an older sense. The doorknob and keylock are almost invvisible against the rough texture of the wood. Very nice and artistic image José.

Very nice, buddy! Simplicity is an art in itself.
Love those textures in the wood. Great clarity and overall detail. I'm no expert when it comes down to B&W but I honestly like what I see in here. If only this door could talk...
Hugs,
F.
Hey Jose,
It's been awhile since I last visited your gallery...btw Happy New Year amigo!
I like the B&W medium, it focuses more in details, the texture, the shadows and overall weathering of the old wooden door. A perfect photo 'case' study of such category, well done!
All the best!
Jom
simple...the details are well seen. definitely this door has passed the tests of time. the BW tone choice is perfect. elegantly presented!
