[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took a sunrise hike to the dried lakebed of the Laguana de Sayula in western Mexico. The ground here forms a dried base of hard dirt and minerals, including salt. The salt deposits made this a desirable region in pre-Columbian Mexico.

"La guerra del salitre" is a fabled battle that is said to have occurred here in pre-Columbian Mexico between the Sayulteca people who lived here and who successfully fought off the invading Tarascan forces from what is now Michoacán state to the east.

What drew me to this shot was the tiny blade of grass that sprouted from this dried lakebed, defying the scarcity of the environment for life. In the distance are some more grasslands that manage to thrive in this somewhat inhospitable soil.

Hola Jose,

interesante fotografia, me gusta el detalle minimalista de la hierba que contrasta con el fondo difuminado. buenos colores. Buen trabajo

Un saludo

Sergio

Hey José,

One life to live...perhaps in the wrong place or the wrong time? As nature grows and passes through a circle of life we humans have similar faith yet we deserve basic rights to live. We have the ability to adjust and pursue life without having someone else's will involuntarily force upon you. We have the choice to have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness even in inhospitable soil.

Take Care dude!

Hi Buddy!

Lovely, simply lovely the result you achieved by one simple action: placing the interest in a object that enhances by itself, the result of your awesome picture, it gives depth, perspective and interesting point of view, along with the warm and spectacular light your pictures always have.

But you have completed your wonderful picture, with a great note, and the perfect choice for the tittle. I don´t know how to say this in English, but el trasfondo de la foto, me encanta!

Trabajo + Constancia+ Persistencia y tendras en la vida, todo aquello que te propongas.
I think this is my philosophy, I know it´s yours too :-)

Thank you so much for it!

Take care!

Un abrazo

Miguel
