I climbed to the top of a clump of ancient volanic rocks to get this view of a very green (rainy season) highland valley in Jalisco. This is near the town of Tapalpa, in the southern part of the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Tapalpa is at the top of the sierra range that also overlooks my parents' hometown.

The area is very popular as a weekend getaway for people from the big city of Guadalajara, which is about 1.5-2 hours drive away. The air here is very clean and crisp. The area is also known for the picturesque town of Tapalpa, which is fairly well preserved and famous for its cheese, lamb, and a variety of other products.

Hello Jose,
I like the green in this shot, and the view leading to the hills in the background. It looks like a very fertile and scenic place. TFS.

Hi Jose!

Beautiful landscape, great wide angle sensation, inmense depth of field. Someone can feel the vastness of the place. Great colours although the sky looks pretty cloudy. Congratulations!

Hola Jose,

Saludos
José

Hi José, my friend!

I love the depth you have achieved on this image! It is one the values of the picture, but not the only one. Vivid and natural colours, and a semi-diagonal composition, which leads our eyes to the mountains at the background, complete a great result!

Take care and have the happiest Monday!

Hugs from BCN
Miguel

Hola, my friend!
This is another shot I planned to stop by for some time now.
Lovely view, una zona muy tranquilla, so to see, a wonderful scenery, ideal to chill out with a nice cold cerveza and get lost in your own thoughts...
I've been a bunch of times to Mexico but never to Jalisco... I checked out about 700 bars in Tijuana and went once down to San Felipe (Baja California)...Man, you just made me think of those taquitos and enchiladas... yummi!
A big hug again,
Fulvio.

Hey José,

I like seeing 'open' spaces like this beautiful green valley in Jalisco. I will treat myself this 'rural' experience which I can't affort. Th image is clean even without sun, picturing open meadows, spangled with rocks and scattered trees...simply nature!

Have a great weekend!

Jom
