Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres, a photo from Jalisco, Pacific Coast

Photographer's Note

Back in Mexico in Guadalajara, a big town of more than 3.5 milions inhabitants and capital of Jalisco state.
Here this is the "Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres", a monuments that date to 1952, consist of 17 fluted columns without a base or capital that line the circunference that secreens 98 urns, containing the remains of mens of the history of Jalisco.

Une rotonde en mémoire des hommes ayant fait l'histoire de la ville. Une puissante manière de pérpetrer la connaissance historique. Une belle présentation avec cette très bonne composition. La rotonde est releguée à l'arrière plan mais conserve toute son importance, précedée qu'elle est par le réformateur Gomez Faria. C'est très bien fait Fred. Merci du partage.

Great colors and clarity in this well-composed shot, Fred. Ideal shooting angle to see the rotunda in the back, and the reformator's memorial in the front right helps to establish perspective. Good work.

Belle composition et cadrage réussi qui nous donne sur l'image la rotonde et "Valentin".

he ben 3,5 millions d'habitants...pas petite ville ca...j'aime beaucoup le cadrage que tu as réalisé pour cette photo...la luminosité est bien reussie elle met en valeur cette " Rotonda ", le feuillage en premier plan donne un beau décor à ta composition....amicalement BI

A fine composition and angle you this statue in - a tight cropping but it works very well - thanks Fred - too bad, my knowledge of Mexican history bad

I really like the overall picture, but it would have been better if the name on the statue was complete (an S is missing at the end) and if the phrase at the monument was fully readable.
