Photographer’s Note
This was taken at a small traditional craft shop in Oaxaca state, about 45 mins drive outside of Oaxaca City. Here traditional textiles are still being made on handlooms as they have been for a long time. The styles and patterns go back much further than the production methods. The man is showing a pattern of indigenous design that is used to plan out the pattern on the loom.
