Photographer’s Note
The ball court at Monte Alban, the most important archaeological site in Oaxaca and arguably one of the most outstanding in the country. The ruins date between 250-800 AD, and include a ball court and pyramids. The origins can be traced back to 500 BC when Monte Alban was first settled. Over 180 tombs have been discovered here.
