Photographer’s Note

The Mission of Our Lady of Guadeloupe, next door to the Cathedral, in Juarez, Mexico, just across the border from El Paso, in Texas. I tried a sepia conversion, but decided that the subtle color contrasts, between the blue & yellow, were better.

"Father Garcia de San Francisco would later found the Mission of Our Lady of Guadeloupe, completed in January of 1668. The Mission still stands in downtown Juarez today, where it is used daily as a place of worship."

That's wire netting or nylon mesh, around the Mission Bell, & Tower, to keep the pigeons away from roosting.

The vertical format suits this fine composition wonderfully. Well chosen point of view to highlight both the statue and the bell tower. The pigeon is a bonus as is the shadow play from the fencing. Pleasing soft light and colours and good sharpness. Thanks for sharing. Have a good evening.

The net/mesh around the tower is a great idea since pigeons are a pest!
It is a very good shot with a nice subject, good colours and the statue pointing to the cross. Well done.

That's an interesting shot. I like the angle of the statue you captured, like it's reaching for the cross on top of the church. Nice little detail to have the pigeon in the picture as well. Great light and beautiful details. Well done!
