Photographer’s Note

Let's go for a small change in my gallery!

During my stay in Mexico, our hosts invited us to the restaurant and ordered dry meat, machaca, guacamole and other specialties from Monterrey, in the State of Nuevo Leon (Northern Mexico) for the whole group.

These plates were on the table, real festival of colours and tastes, and we all shared them in a very friendly atmosphere.

When my colleagues asked me if I would accept to eat some baby goat, my little hart felt quite bad... but I knew it would have been very impolite to refuse.

Then, they told me that local use to tell tourists that until they do not try roasted baby goat, it is as if they had never been to Monterrey.
I could not refuse anymore... so I tried it and I have to say it is absolutely delicious!

Now, you probably wonder why I suddenly decide to go back to my October trip and to propose you a photo of food... this one is a gift to our friend JBWapiti.

I know he is an epicure and I thought he would appreciate this photo which would tickle his taste buds :-p

Marianne,
It is is just a sin, it looks so tempting, so delicious, It's near dinner time for me. My saliva is literally dripping out of my mouth. I'm not a big meat eater, but I do enjoy it. I try not to think about it when eating, meat otherwise, I will just become vegetarian. Baby or not what difference does it make. very nice shot.

Tu fais dans la photo alimentaire maintenant....ah, juste un clin d'œil à JB (bon anniversaire à lui s'il passe par là); il ne va certainement pas résister tant c'est appétissant, enfin pour les carnivores!(mais je vois que tu as rétabli l'équilibre avec ton WS -))

Alors, l'on a failli au péché de gourmandise ! Ah ! il te sera beaucoup pardonné, car pour la journée de la femme, toutes les actions allant à l'encontre de la pensée juste sont oubliées !
Deux photos : un repas copieux, un repas frugal, c'est selon.
Une très bonne idée de composition.

Je vient de lire ta note et j'avoue que moi aussi mon petit coeur se serais senti très mal de manger la viande de bébé chèvre grillée rôtie

Je préfère la version plus végétarienne ! J'suis pas carnivore au point de saliver devant toute cette viande, mais tu as vu juste pour JiBé !

tu nous mets l'eau à la bouche, superbe détail, cela fait vraiment envoie de croquer ton iamge,, dommage, car un écrant c'est pas bon et surout pas aussi beau que ta photo.

Hello Marianne! Some minutes left before my dinner is ready and it is quite funny, I made a tofu dish for tonight, a Thai curry thing :))) But I am also a meat eater no question and you know we should try out different things which makes life interesting but I am not too courageous when it comes to meat but this looks really very very good. TE is a funny planet ... I wonder how my tofu dish turned out, should be pretty spicy and HOT! Happy evening ... and yes, I get my women out of the WS, you are so right ... Barbara.

c'est vrai que c'est appétissant tout ca, et je comprend que lorsqu'on est invité,surtout dans ces pays, il ne faut pas vexer l'hostipalité en tout cas superbe photo qui nous montre bien le menu

Bonjour, Marianne. Le petit coup de flash rend la viande encore plus appétissante en faisant reluire les parties les plus charnues. Un gros plan qui a de quoi nous mettre en appétit. D'ailleurs, c'est bientôt l'heure du repas.

Bonjour Marianne,

Beau gros plan sur ce plat appétissant.
Les couleurs sont bien, j'aime bien les petit reflets de lumières (certainement le flash) sur la viande grillée.
