Photographer’s Note
This is The Pyramid of Niches, part of my hometowmn Papantla and it patrimony, I'm so proud to born in this place, I hope you like it.
El Tajín archaeological site is located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains, near the vanilla-producing Papantla Veracruz
El Tajín Ruins
El Tajín is a word of Totonac origin meaning Place of Thunder. Many of the structures at El Tajín date from 300 - 600 A.D. although this Totonacan center is thought to have reached its peak between 800 and 1150 A.D. The study and restoration of the ruins was begun in 1924.
The principal structures and conglomerates of structures are the Plaza Arroyo Group, the Ball Courts, the Pyramid of Niches, the Tajín Chico group, the Building of Columns and the Great Xicalcoliuhqui.
The Pyramid of Niches, or Building 1, is the outstanding structure in this site, comprised of seven sections and a total of 365 niches, coinciding the the number of days in the solar year. In the interior holds a 14 meter long passageway and has only been partly explored.

Gracias Elias!

It certainly is a wonderful place full of history and mystery which I would like to visit one day. You have here a very nice picture with a good POV and nice colours. Well done.

Hola Elias, I visited many ruins of this kind in Mexico, but not these ones. I was really impressed by these huge and misterious structures and must post something one day. Good POV and nice framing with the branches. The lighting is short but well managed and the colors are quite nice. Good shot!
Un saludo,
Ricardo

Dear Elias,
Very nice shot!
I really like your idea of integrating things in foreground.
Thanks for sharing,

Good point of view but I would try to not include the left structure because its presence takes too much space in the picture and distracts our eyes from the main subject, the pyramid. Excepted that, it is a nice composition with the branches in foreground. I dont know if you were lucky but it is cool to have a shot without any tourist on it, this kind of places are generally very overcrowded.
Nice job.

nice POV but i would have included the whole image of the thatched house on the right handside to give a contrast to this pyramid (like a now and then endorsement, i meant).
