I took this picture during the Mexican independence celebrations which are held on the 15th of September.
People usually gather at the main plaza (Zocalo) and wait for the mayor to shout "viva Mexico" and so on. The people respond with a loud Viva.
Quite a nice experience.
There are certainly many food stalls that sell delicious snacks as chalupas (small tortillas cooks in a spicy sauce). Yummy |
