The Parish church of Santiago Apostol was built by Franciscan friars in the 19th century, in indigenous Baroque style.
It is located in Chignahuapan, a town in the state of Puebla.

Always a pleasure to learn in your gallery, I know Baroque but not this style! It seems so colorful, and so well ornamented which I guess is the element of the style, but totally different from what I would expect. I like how despite the high level of detail, we can still see and appreciate the beautiful base design of the building. Great idea to include the man, I would never have guessed the scale without him.

The distortion is quite strong , but the church is really beautiful . I like especially the contrast of the white and yellow walls with the blue sky . The baroque facade is splendid .

Beautiful church and very good light, colours and sharpness. Curious that the towers are so different. It seems so have so many wonderful details, I'd surely like to go inside!
