Here is a shot from the very famous central plaza in San Miguel de Allende. San Miguel is among one of the many Spanish Colonial cities in Mexico. But it is also unique in having been the residence of Ingnacio Allende:
(From Wikipedia) "Ignacio José de Allende y Unzaga (January 21, 1769 – June 26, 1811), born Ignacio Allende y Unzaga, was a captain of the Spanish Army in Mexico who came to sympathize with the Mexican independence movement. He attended the secret meetings organized by Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, where the possibility of an independent New Spain was discussed. He fought along with Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in the first stage of the struggle, eventually succeeding him in leadership of the rebellion. Allende was captured by Spanish colonial authorities while he was in Chihuahua and executed for treason."
For the last 50 or 60 years it has been an artist's haven, and today is the residence of some 14,000 expats. For a larger view: Click Me

Good to meet you on TE again, Steve. Great shot, with warm rich colours and brooding clouds. The long shadows add to the somewhat uneasy mood. You've managed to capture some of the atmosphere of this place.

Beautiful picture, nice colours and splendid sky, but San Miguel Allende is in Guanajuato, not in Guerrero.

Hello Steve ,
Beautiful colonial architecture . The superb lateral light increses the colors and teh contrasts , and creates interesting long shades in the FG . The sky is splendid , too .
