Photographer’s Note
I took this picture after walking up to this big statue thing. I forget his name.
Excuse the poor quality, it was scanned and then I had to further reduce the quality to bring it under 200 kb.
This city is a UNESCO heritage site, and no modern buildings and signs are allowed. The strees are one lane and mostly go in one direction, to go the other way you need to go underground through the tunnels. A nearby modern city centre is also connected by these tunnels.
Guanajuato is historically a silver mining town, but now is a popular spot for tourists and people taking spanish classes.
