Photographer’s Note
Taken from the bus.
It is interesting that the poorest areas in many countries have the most amazing colors. I saw that on many photos from Africa,Central America, etc.
The Mexican city of Guanajuato is the capital of the state of the same name. It is located 370 km (230 miles) northwest of Mexico City, at an elevation of 1,996 m (6,550 ft) above sea level.
Guanajuato was founded as a town in 1554 and received the designation as a city in 1741. It is located in one of the richest silver mining areas of Mexico, and is well known for its wealth of fine colonial era Spanish architecture.
The Spanish name "Guanajuato" comes from Quanaxhuato (or Kuanasiutu in a different orthography), meaning "Hill of Frogs" in the local indigenous P'urhépecha language (a large rock formation outside of the city of Guanajuato looks remarkably like a frog, and frogs are common in the region). In the native religion of the P'urhépecha (Tarascans), the frog represented the god of wisdom.
The city was originally built over the Guanajuato River, which flowed through tunnels underneath the city. However, after years of raising buildings to accommodate repeated flooding, in the mid-twentieth century, engineers built a dam and redirected the river into underground caverns. The tunnels were lit and paved with cobblestones for automobile traffic, and this underground road network carries the majority of cars driving through the city today. It is one of the most notable features of the city.
The city played a major role in the Mexican War of Independence since it is the capital of the state of Guanajuato in which Miguel Hidalgo started the independence movement.

Hello Brano,
The colors of the roofs and frontages are interesting. The sight does not show a luxurious zone, but it does not seem not really disinherited. The position of the tree appears a little central and hides the subject. However, an interesting image and of quality.
Have a nice day

Hello Brano,
nice shot under difficult shooting conditions. It's pity the tree, to cover with its branches the biggest part of the sight of the city, with these amazing colours.
Have a nice week,Danos

Hi Brano
Considering you took this photo from a moving bus you have done well. It is a pity that the tree dominates the photo but then perhaps it works well with the very colourful houses peeping between the branches.
An interesting observation you have made regarding colour and material wealth or the lack of it. TFS, Marlene

Hello Brano,
It is a truth that poor people love vivid colors! I think those poor ones are often happier than rich ones. I like your composition with the tree and the mountain,

Hi Brano,
This is really very light and colorful scenery captured perfectly. Frankly speaking, I do not see any obvious signs of poorness, maybe because of this beautiful tree, which hides a part of the residential area, leaving the nice greenish hills in the BG visible very well. Great job!
Best regards,
Sergiy
