Photographer’s Note

A Mariachi is a band of traditional mexican music which is normally hired for birthdays, weddings; festivals and other events.

We are here at the gardens of Xochimilco, located about 30 KM south of the Center of Mexico. This is amongst the last remains of the lagoon which Mexico City was built upon. Here, families rent boats for leisurly trips on the lagoon while listening to Mariachis and eating.

Siempre que veo una guitarra en TE, es como ver algo mío, me identifico mucho con esta imagen y sufro por no poder estar allí.
Me gusta esta toma de Mariachi, tan repeinao y peripuesto para su actuación ambulante a pleno sol.... buenos colores.

Solo le falto el famoso sombrero, pero creo que no cabría en ese espacio tan chico.

La toma es preciosa y oportuna. Captas al músico en plena acción, con un magnifico encuadre, gran nitidez, definición y un perfecto manejo de la luz.

Salut Daniel,
Le folklore local dans un beau décor. Tu as su les montrer en évitant toute références aux touristes qui hantent souvent ce type d'endroits.

"Mariachi" recalls movies of Antonio Banderas; "El Mariachi" and "Desperado"... The man in the photo has nothing to do with him actually, just the title and clothes reminds me of the movies.
