Photographer’s Note
Plaza de Garibaldi, Mexico City.
The place to come in Mexico City for all things traditional and musical. In the square musicians are everywhere. Most are mariachis, wearing wide-brimmed hats, frilly shirts, tight trousers and short jackets decorated with silver buckles. A group usually consists of 10 instruments -violins, guitars and trumpets - and a lead singer who, by tradition, can wear a pistol at his waist.
Thanks for looking.
