A woman waits on a bench with her son for the bus in front of a ruined home. A yellow cab passes by like a yellow bullet, stuffed with people and honking at whatever got in its way. The sun is setting, and it casts a warm glow on the town of Rosarito, Mexico. To the east, dense gray clouds blend with the rays of the sun and provide an eerie atmosphere.
Mere miles from the United States border (and about a half hour from beautiful, wealthy San Diego), this sea-side town is both heaven and hell for the lifetime residents. Struggling with poverty and the constant flow of uncaring tourists, the residents try live as well as they can. The sea gives them hope of a better life.
