Photographer’s Note

It looks that I wasn`t the only one troubled by the beauty of the landscape at O`Hara:)
Again,like always now,a raw file processed in Lightroom and Photoshop,but this is not an HDR this time.
Just pure pleasure:)

Those mountains are huge and overwhelmingly beautiful. You did a great job of capturing their beauty in your photo. The colors are rich and there is a nice crispness to the scene. Very nicely done.

Nice job on the post-processing, excellent landscape. Placing the woman in the middle was a major mistake, sorry to say. The placement is wrong, dead in the center and obstructing the lake. Her back doesn't give us much to look at and overall she doesn't complement the landscape. Sitting next to her backpack and smiling at us, or looking innocently across the image would have been probably way better. I know it sounds harsh, sorry...

That certainly is a "sight for sore eyes"......an amazingly beautiful landscape with an image filled by natures best. It seems so fresh and inviting and you managed to capture the scene extremely well. Excellent job.

A majestic lanscape with great colours and lighting. The mountains are stunning and you have made a good exposure of the snow and clouds with the CPL. I love the lake in the centre of the photo. The shadows are a great feature of this one. I'm not sure about having a person in the very centre with her back turned. I wouldn't mind the back turned if she were on one side, probably more to the right, which would mean you had to move from your position to take the shot. However, it's a beautiful sharp photo.

Wow, beautiful shot! I'm glad to see some other people are posting photos from Lake O'Hara, because it's such a beautiful area. I visited in September last year and it was already under snow, and the temperature was about -5C! I didn't get the fall shots I wanted, but I did get some nice winter shots! Nice work!

This is a wonderful shot! Your composition is great placing the girl in the foreground and allowing us to share her view of this great mountain scene. The lighting and colors are great with outstanding sharpness and DOF. The clouds create nice patterns of shadow through out the scene providing nice contrast.

Nice shot of O'Hara again. I disagree with Roland on the placement of the girl--she's not exactly in the middle so it doesn't look as weird as if she were smack-dab in the center, and like you said it's an impromptu shot, so I don't mind the placement. The one thing I don't care for is that the left upper seems unreasonably dark, even with the polarizer and the shadows on the mountains. But otherwise, what a beautiful scene.
