Photographer’s Note

This man is trying to get rid of some of his old stuff by selling them through a garage sale, as known here in Montreal. Usually people just expose all their unwanted articles in front of their house (here it is in the back alley) and sell them at a very low price to anybody interested, very often students. Sometimes one can find interesting articles, especially in the rich areas. Some antique dealers even watch those garage sales for some good deals which they will sell at much higher prices of course.

Bonne luminosité et netteté. J'aurai retaillé la photo en otant la partie supérieure ; dommage que le personnage soit un peu coupé.

chez nous, on appelle ces ventes des vide-grenier et sont organisés collectivement à certaines dates, et contrôlés par l'administration.

Je crois qu'un particulier peut organiser uniquement à l'intérieur de chez lui, sans empiéter sur le domaine public, une vente de ses objets, ça s'appelle vente volontaire je crois.
