Photographer’s Note

Mount Stephen towers over the Kicking Horse river at Field BC, with the Canadian Pacific railway winding its way down the valley on the distant riverbank. At this time of the year, the river is at its lowest levels, but during the spring thaw, it is a very different story!

Superb photo of this majestic mountain !
I just love the greyish blue colours of the river and the late summer colours of the vegetation . Lighting is perfect , harmony complete !

Great shot, composition is perfect, the foreground really adds depth to the image. Brilliant looking mountain, the detail you've achieved is stunning.
Looks like I'll have to add this area to my wish list.

I love this area around Field, B.C. I've always thought it would be a great place to camp. The mountains are gorgeous! An excellent picture which brings back nice memories. TFS and have a happy day!

Hi Jeff,
A nice mountain landscape but this image would have benefited from a tad more attention to the foreground. For example, the part stalk on the left is distracting. Good colors thought and nice perspective. Well done and TFS. Gerald

Very nice composition, with varied and colored foreground and a wide, sweeping background.
